How much will this insurance benefit cost?
This insurance benefit will cost absolutely nothing to the customer. It will be offered COMPLEMENTARY by Hellenic Bank through Hellenic Alico Life.
Who will be the beneficiary of the compensation in case of death or permanent total disability (P.T.D.)?
In case of death or P.T.D. of the insured, the compensation will be deposited to the Winners’ Team account of the minor and will be added to the account balance at that time. When the minor turns 18he/ she can withdraw the money deposited in the account.
Which of the parents can be insured?
The father or the mother or the legal guardian of the minor.
How long will the insurance be inforce?
The insurance will remain inforce until the child becomes 18 years old or until the insured reaches the age of 65, whichever occurs first.
What is the sum insured in case of death or P.T.D. of the insured?
The sum insured in case of death or permanent total disability of the insured will be equal to the account balance of the Winners’ Team account times the multiplier in the table below (based on the account balance):
Account Balance Sum Insured

€1.501 - €3.000 x2 the account balance
€3.001 - €5.000 x3 the account balance

What are the conditions for a parent / legal guardian to participate in the insurance scheme?
An account has to be opened under the Winners’ Team Scheme in the name of the minor (who must be under 13 years old). Then, the parent or legal guardian who will be insured, must complete the application form and sign the acceptance of terms and conditions and the declaration of good health. Upon submission of these documents and acceptance by the insurance company, the insurance plan takes effect.
If the minor already has a Winners’ Team account can the parent / legal guardian benefit from the insurance?
Hellenic Bank offers this insurance to parents / legal guardians of new minor customers as well as to the existing Winners’ Team customers. The only difference case of an existing Winners’ Team account is that the parents / legal guardians will NOT need to open a new account for the minor. The parent / legal guardian that will be insured must simply visit the branch of Hellenic Bank, where their child’s Winners’ account is kept, to fill out the application form and sign the acceptance of terms and conditions as well as the declaration of good health.
On which balance will the sum insured be calculated in case of parents / legal guardians whose children already have a Winners’ Team account?
Only amounts deposited in the account after the acceptance of the offer will be taken into account in the calculation of the sum insured.
Example:
Existing Winners’ Team account with a balance of €1.000 before the insurance takes effect and balance of €8.000 on the day of the claim.
The amount to be calculated for the compensation will be €8000 - €1.000 = €7.000 times the multiplier in the table in question 6 above (4th level -i.e. Χ4) = €28.000.
