Hellenic Bank Public Company Ltd, one of the leading Financial Institutions in Cyprus, is seeking to recruit an “IT Coordinator” to join the dynamic team of the Hellenic Alico Life Insurance Company Ltd.

 

Key responsibilities of the role include the following:

 

  • Contact for IT on business side
  • Aligns business interests with IT deliverables
  • Collects and analyzes requirements from commissioning business divisions
  • Conducts feasibility studies, creates supporting business cases and IT requirements definitions for business requests
  • Oversight of the IT budget 
  • Monitors on a monthly basis the quality of the IT service received from the Company’s service providers
  • Be the liaison between the Company and service providers regarding the IT needs of the Company
  • Handles all the Information Security issues the Company is/will be facing
  • Handles all the IT issues relevant to the Business Continuity plans of the Company
  • Sets up controls and procedures in relation to the Company’s operations
  • Leads the Company’s project to improve the quality of the Company’s existing database and performs regular controls to ensure Data quality
  • Participates in the automation projects the Company is planning to launch
  • Monitoring of the international technological developments and advice accordingly
  • Compliance with the Hellenic Bank’s Group IT procedures
  • Ensures that the Company’s IT systems meet the constantly changing conditions

 

Candidate Profile:

  • University Degree and/or Master Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of work experience in the Cyprus or European Insurance Industry
  • Basic knowledge of the European regulatory framework governing Insurance Companies (Solvency II)
  • Experience with AS400 (OLAS) and GMD insurance systems will be considered an advantage
  • Methodical with a structured way of thinking
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Team player with good communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills
  • Goal oriented individual confident to work independently when required with little guidance and supervision
  • Problem solver, persistent in overcoming issues and obstacles
  • Ability to act proactively by making recommendations
