Hellenic Bank Public Company Ltd, is seeking to recruit an IT Service Desk Agent / Analyst to join the team of Group Information Technology.

 

Candidate Profile:

Essential Qualifications

  • College Degree in Information Technology or other related field
  • 2-years proven IT Service Desk experience
  • Fluent English and Greek language skills
  • Friendly presence and helpful attitude; ability to work well with others
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills
  • Ability to provide technical support over the phone; good phone skills
  • Good problem solving skills; ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it
  • Ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic; remain productive during slow times, be able to multitask effectively during busy times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations
  • Ability to work with or without direct supervision
  • Ability to utilize the applications for Microsoft Office for support, reporting and documentation

 

Additional Qualifications will be considered an advantage:

  • Creativity; ability to think around problems and come up with creative solutions
  • Previous experience in using any incident management software
  • Familiarity with the fundamental principles of ITIL framework will be considered as an advantage

 

Key responsibilities of the successful candidate;

 

  • Serve as the single point of contact within Bank for IT related issues and queries
  • Follow standard Service Desk operating procedures
  • Dealing with hardware and application support queries and issues reported to Service Desk
  • Take ownership and responsibility of each incident from start through to a successful resolution
  • Escalate incidents and involve experts wherever required in order to resolve issues as quickly as possible
  • Ensure the support team members close out their work orders properly
  • Develop fundamental understanding of IT operations and related applications and IT systems as well as business related processes and procedures
  • Maintain adequate knowledge of operating systems and application software used to provide first level support
  • Receive and fulfill service requests for consumable items (e.g. mouses, cables, standard keyboards, etc.)  and for installing approved pc software
  • Oversee the deliveries of hardware such as PCs and printers by the vendors
  • Organize the external suppliers visits to branches to resolve technical issues
  • Maintain and consistently demonstrate a general knowledge of company guidelines, processes, practices and procedures
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Service Desk Supervisor
