How can I apply for a loan using the mobile app?
To apply for a loan with our mobile app, you need to log in and go to the “more” section. There, you will see the instructions on how to apply. After you submit your application, a bank representative will contact you and tell you what to do next, such as sending us the documents we need to check your eligibility.
Which types of products are available for application through the Hellenic Bank Mobile App?

You can apply for Credit cards, Housing loans, Car financing, Overdraft accounts and Personal loans through our Mobile App. To apply for our other products you can submit an online request: use our website’s online calculator to calculate your instalment, complete the Interest Form and we will contact you.

How will I be informed about the status of my loan application?
A bank representative will contact you and tell you about the status of your application. They will also guide you through the next steps, such as sending us the documents we need to assess your application thoroughly.
Is there a specific timeframe for a relationship officer to reach out after submitting a loan application through the mobile app?
We try to get in touch with you as soon as possible. However, the exact timeframe may depend on how many applications we have and what kind of loan you applied for.
Can I add a joint borrower?
The online application forms are only for one borrower. If you want to apply with a joint borrower, you need to visit your servicing Branch by booking a meeting.
I am not a customer of the bank and don’t have access to the Hellenic Bank Mobile app. How can I apply for a loan?

If you are not a customer of the bank, you can find the application form for each loan product on the bank’s website. Just go to the product’s page and calculate your instalment amount with the online calculator, and then fill out the application form that will appear. The final part of the process is similar to the mobile app. This includes opening a bank account and assessing your loan application, with terms and conditions applied.

What type of electronic signature (e-signature) does Hellenic Bank use?

There are various types of e-signatures. Hellenic Bank uses an Advanced e-signature that can be used securely for signing documents, facilitating and accelerating the process of your loan application. This means that with the use of your e-signature your physical presence at the Βank’s branch and the printing of documents will not be required.

Hellenic Bank offers e-signatures through DocuSign’s reliable platform. DocuSign’s e-signatures meet the conditions as provided in the applicable legislative framework*, and have security features, such as encryption and two-factor authentication, allowing the Bank to verify signatures.

What types of documents can be signed using e-signatures?

Hellenic Bank customers can digitally sign documents related to the following unsecured lending products:

  • Personal loan,
  • Credit card, or
  • Overdraft account
Who can use e-signatures?

Hellenic Bank customers who are permanent residents of Cyprus can use e-signatures.

How much do e-signatures cost?
The specific DocuSign e-signatures are offered to Hellenic Bank customers free of charge.
How do I sign via DocuSign’s e-signature?
Once you submit your loan application, a Customer Relationship Officer will guide through the esigning process. You can easily submit your loan application (for: Personal loans, Credit cards and Overdraft accounts) via the Hellenic Bank Mobile App. Once your loan application is approved, you will receive an email including a relevant link from the DocuSign platform. If you have any doubts about the validity of the email you can contact your Customer Relationship Officer. Watch the step-by-step eSigning process here.
How will I know when the document esigning process is complete?

After you complete your esigning process, the documents are returned to the Bank. After all required signatures are collected you will receive an email confirming completion by all signees, along with relevant completed signed copies of the documents which you can view, save and print.

How much time do I have to sign the relevant loan application documents?

If you do not proceed to sign the documents immediately, you will have one (1) month after the initial email notification to sign the documents.

How am I authenticated?
To finalise the esigning process you will be required to enter a One-Time Password (OTP) verification code which will be sent to your mobile phone. The authentication process is completed once you enter the specific verification code.
Are Advanced Signatures as legally binding as handwritten signatures?

According to the applicable legislative framework*, the legal validity and admissibility of  e-signatures are not rejected as evidence in legal proceedings solely because they are in electronic form.
