Born on 1 March 1977. Graduated from the A’ Ethnarch Makarios III Lyceum in Paphos and studied Accounting & Finance (B.Sc.) at the London School of Economics & Political Science and Finance (M.Phil.) at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom.
Began his career in 2000 in London, as Investment Banker for Credit Suisse First Boston and afterwards worked for Bank of America and Morgan Stanley in Leveraged Finance Debt Capital Markets. After almost nine years as Investment Banker, became an Investment Advisor and specialized in businesses experiencing financial difficulties and undergoing recapitalisation, balance sheet restructuring, operational turnaround or liquidation. In this area, he worked for Gladwyne Investments LLP in London and Alden Global Capital Ltd in New York and Jersey. Upon his return to Cyprus in 2013, he worked for about a year as a financial advisor to local and foreign companies seeking to raise growth capital and/or financing, served on the Board of Hellenic Bank as independent non-executive director between May 2014 and February 2015 and also served on the Board of HD Direct Ltd (Hellas Direct) as non-executive director between February 2014 and February 2015.
Appointed General Manager in April 2015 to primarily focus on certain strategic priorities for the Βank, forming the Corporate Development Division, including Ship Finance, Private Banking and Trust and Custodian Services. In November 2017, he also assumed responsibility for Product Development, Corporate Lending, Insurance and Transformation Office.
