Marco Comastri

Born in 1960. Studied Mechanical Engineering (degree) at the University of Pisa in Italy.

Commenced his career in 1986 in Italimpianti in Italy. In 1987, he joined IBM Italy, where he worked until 1996 as Systems Engineer, Sales Representative, Chief of Staff to the Country General Manager and Branch Manager, Sales to Insurance Companies. From 1997 to 2003, he moved to IBM EMEA, based in Paris, Vienna and Milan, as Director, Software and then Vice President, Software / Integrated Technology Services.

In 2003, he became Country Manager of Microsoft Italy before moving to Turkey in 2007 to join Microsoft MEA as Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Services. In 2010-11, he spent almost a year as CEO of Postecom, an IT services company of the Italian Post Office.

At the end of 2011, he joined CA Technologies as President and General Manager, EMEA Area, based in Switzerland. Following the company’s acquisition by Broadcom, he left the latter and since April 2019, he has been advising a major Private Equity firm on due diligence work.

He was elected Member of the Board of Directors of Hellenic Bank on 28 August 2019 and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hellenic Bank on 16 June 2020. Chairman of the Transformation Committee of the Bank's Board of Directors and Member of the Nominations / Internal Governance Committee of the Bank's Board of Directors.
