Executive Summary

Eating out appears to be the most popular leisure activity and one that respodents maintain they can limit in case of economic difficulties. This is in contrast to cultural activities which are mentioned by fewer respodents and less often.

Three in ten of the respondents maintain their intention to go on summer holidays, but more than half of them maintain their intention to go on short breaks.

Summer holidays in Cyprus are favored by the majority for being less expensive VS holidays abroad. Famagusta and Paphos appear to be the most popular local destinations. One in three respodents intend to travel abroad on holiday mainly driven by the oppurtunity of new experiences.
