With its key focus on ensuring the health of its customers and staff and with the aim of preventing the spread of the pandemic, Hellenic Bank is taking all necessary preventive measures, according to the latest decisions announced by the Minister of Health.

Following the guidelines on restricting movements and in order to meet the needs of the Hellenic Bank staff, the branch network will continue to operate seamlessly, but with a reduced number of staff. 

Customers are encouraged to visit branches only when deemed strictly necessary. In accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health on restricting movements, we urge our customers to take advantage of our digital channels and, in particular, our Web Banking, Mobile App and ATMs, as well as our contactless payment cards.

Note that, from mid-November, in an effort to reduce traffic at its branches, Hellenic Bank announced that for cash withdrawals and deposits of amounts less than €500, as well as for issuing copies of bank account statements, customers should only use ATMs.

Experienced Bank staff members are available inside and outside the branches to guide and serve customers, with priority given to pensioners and vulnerable groups, so that they can quickly and safely carry out their transactions at the ATMs.

Customers entering a branch without a debit card must fill out a relevant form/application, for getting a free debit card issued in their name. At Connect Corners, located within the branches, the Bank staff is continuing its efforts to train and familiarise customers with the use of its digital channels, with the aim of ensuring faster and safer service, anytime, anywhere.

Debit card holders can be served by Hellenic Bank's new generation ATMs 24/7, and perform their daily banking transactions, including free cash withdrawals and deposits via direct debit of their connected accounts or credit card, deposit cheques, view their account balances and more. In addition, through Hellenic Bank Web Banking, customers can see their IBAN and print the relevant certificate, pay utility bills, transfer funds, etc.

The Bank is monitoring all developments, and particularly the directives of the Health and Labour Ministries, and will be revising its plans accordingly.

Free issuance of new and replacement of existing debit cards

In case you do not have a debit card linked to your account we can issue one for you without any cost. You can use your card for POS payments and ATM withdrawals.

In case your existing debit card is lost or damaged we will replace it for free.
