Further to the global cause of planting 100 million trees by 2025 worldwide, this year Hellenic Bank in cooperation with the Department of Forests, will also support Cyprus’s forests restoration by planting and preserving 1000 trees.    

At Hellenic Bank, the protection of the environment is at the forefront of its every operation which implements sustainable practices, finances "green" companies and participates in a series of initiatives and green actions. Hellenic Bank was the first bank in Cyprus to join the Priceless Planet Coalition, an environmental initiative under the auspices of Mastercard, in which leading banks from around the globe are also participating.

The Priceless Planet Coalition is a network that was created for the purpose of coordinating the environmental actions of consumers, financial institutions, merchants and cities, so as to enhance the effects and the positive impact of their actions, especially in terms of the restoration of the forests. As a first step, the initiative has pledged to plant 100 million trees by the year 2025. The network will also encourage consumers to adopt environmentally sustainable habits, recording the environmental impact of the purchases they make when using their cards.
