What are the available types of prepaid cards?

You can choose a PCard, which is a prepaid payment card in the classic form of a card, or Prepaid PayBand, which is a wearable payment prepaid product in the form of a wristband.

How can I get a prepaid card?

You can get your own prepaid card at any of our branches, by presenting your identity card and a proof of address.

Do I have color options?

PCards and Prepaid PayBands are available in various colors and you can choose the one that suits you most.

How much do they cost?

An issuance fee of €5 is applied on PCards and €10 on Prepaid PayBands.

How many prepaid cards can I buy?

You can have up to 5 PCards and unlimited Prepaid PayBands.

What is the maximum loading amount?

The maximum monthly loading amount and/or the maximum total balance at any given time in all prepaid cards of the same holder cannot exceed €5000 (including the maximum amount for Prepaid PayBands which is €2500).

How can I reload my prepaid cards?

You can reload your prepaid cards at any Hellenic Bank branch, or online via Web Banking.

Can my card limits be increased if required?

The card is initially issued on the basis of your proposed transaction and daily limits; however, you can apply for a temporary or permanent increase or decrease of these limits to suit your personal requirements.

I have entered my PIN incorrectly three times at an ATM, how can I fix this?

For security reasons you card will be obtained by the ATM after entering your PIN incorrectly three times. You can collect it from the Bank during working hours.

What can I do if I have forgotten my card PIN?

If you have forgotten your card PIN, you can call Service Line. A PIN reminder can be sent to your personal mobile phone via SMS.

I am planning to travel abroad, what should I do?

We may need to contact you while you are away to verify that certain transactions on your card are legitimate.

If you are travelling abroad in country where fraud restrictions are applied by the Bank for security reasons and intend using your card you should notify us and restrictions will be removed from the card for the period of the specific trip.

Are there any charges for using my card abroad?

Within the Eurozone, there are no additional charges for using your card to make purchases. Outside the Eurozone, a cross-border handling fee is applied on all transactions and in all cases of cash withdrawals a fee is applied as per Card Charges.

What shall I do in case of loss/theft or unauthorised use of my card?

In case of loss, theft or unauthorised use of your card, you must immediately contact us and report the incident at below contact numbers:

  • Service Line 8000 9999 (from Cyprus) or +357 22 500 500 (from abroad)
  • JCC +357 22 868 000
